The Story
My role working with professional speakers began in an unlikely place: studying narrative therapy.
While doing research on a May morning in 2012, I read a line in a neurobiology book that changed my life forever. It said:
"One of the only times all of the brain systems come online and integrate, is when the mind is hearing a story."
Everything changed for me at that moment. Time slowed down. Everyone around me in the coffee shop seemed to be barely moving.
I intuitively knew I had just learned a lesson that would shape my work for the rest of my life.
That one line set me on a course to learn everything I could about how our minds understand the world around us, how we develop, and how we make decisions.
I discovered that our mind makes sense of our reality by contextualizing each experience into a story, which means:
Stories are the greatest influencer of movement, change and transformation.
And the speaker industry is one of the best reflections of that truth.
A single idea, told in a powerful story, can shape companies, nations, and even the beliefs of millions of people.
My role (and passion) is helping speakers clarify their ideas and turn them into these kinds of stories.
The stories then become visual through their brands, their speaker demo reel, their website, and their transformational keynotes.
In order to make this possible, each of our clients are surrounded by the best designers, cinematographers, editors, developers, and technicians, all centered around one creative vision.
